Iccha(skt): Ao ước—Wish—Desire.

Icchantika(skt): Xiển Ðề—Ðoạn thiện căn—Tín bất cụ túc.

Những người đã cắt đứt thiện căn: One who cuts of good roots.

Người chạy theo dục vọng đến kỳ cùng: One who purpsues desires to the end.

Bất tín cụ túc: Những người không tin tưởng vào giới pháp nhà Phật—One who does not possess belief.

Những người không có Phật tính: Those who are destitute of the Buddha-nature.

Iddhi(p): Thần thông biến hóa—Super knowledge—Mode of insight attained by the practice of Dhyana.

Iddhipada(p): Tứ pháp thần túc.

Iksvaku(skt): Nhứt Soa Cưu Vương.

Indra(skt): Nhơn đà la—Ðế Thích—Name of a kind of Deva.

Indra-Priti(skt): Nhơn đà la bạt đế—Hỷ kiến thành kinh đô vua Ðế Thích.

Indriya(p): Căn—Giác quan, toàn bộ 22 năng lực thể chất và tinh thần—Root—Power—Force—Bodily power—Power of the senses—Faculty of sense—A sense-faculty—A sense-organ—Faculty—Organ of sense—A sense-organ or twenty-two psychological and physical capabilities or faculties—The quality of which belongs especially to the mighty Indra:

Từ 1 đế 6 là ngũ quan và ý (sáu cơ sở): From 1 to 6 are the six bases.

Từ 7 đến 8 là tánh nam và tánh nữ: From 7 to 8 are The masculine and feminine potentialities that distinguish the sexes.

Thứ 9 là cơ quan tất yếu của sức sống qui định tất cả các hiện tượng sinh lý: The vital faculty which determines all physiological phenomena.

Từ thứ 10 đến 14 các cảm giác ham muốn, đau đớn, vui, buồn và dửng dưng: From 10 to 14 are the faculties of pleasure, pain, joy, sadness, and indifference.

Từ thứ 15 đến 19 là ngũ căn (tín, tấn, niệm, định, huệ) hay năm gốc rễ tinh thần làm cơ bản cho việc phát triển ngũ lực: The five mental roots that form the basis for the development of the five powers (the root of faith, of exertion or energy, of concentration, of mindfulness, of wisdom).

Từ thứ 20 đến 22 là ba năng lực siêu nhiên—From 20 to 22 are three supermundane faculties:

Niềm tin vào khả năng đạt tới nhận thức cần thiết để bước vào con đường siêu nhiên: The certainty of being able to know what is not yet known, which come at the beginning of the supramundane path.

Nhận thức cao nhất đạt được trạng thái dự lưu: Supreme knowledge , which is reached at the moment of actualizing stream-entry (Shrota-apanna).

Năng lực của kẻ nắm được nhận thức toàn hảo của bậc A la hán: The faculty of him who possesses perfect knowledge (the faculty of an arhat). 

Indriyasamvara(skt) Indryasamvara(p): Che chở các cảm giác, kỹ thuật thiền định có mục đích hiểu tánh thuần khiết và khách quan trong khi quan sát và cố tránh những cảm giác vui, buồn, thương, ghét, thiện, ác, ham muốn, hận thù, v.v.—Guarding of the sense organ, a meditation technique that leads to pure and objective observation and is intended to prevent emotions such as joy, sadness, love, jealousy, sympathy, antipathy, desire, hatred, ect. 

Indriyavaikalya(skt): Manh Long Á—Mù điếc câm—Blindness, deafness, muteness

Irsya(skt): Ðố kỵ—Envy—Envy or impatience of another’s success—Jealousy—One of the Upaklesa, or secondary hindrances.

Isipatana(p): Chư Thiên đọa xứ.

Issa(p): Envy—Tật đố.

Is(h)vara(skt): Tự tại thiên—The Highest Self—God of Free Will.

Itaretara (skt): Bỉ Bỉ Không, một trong bảy loại không—Reciprocity, one of the seven kinds of Emptiness—See Thất Chủng Không (7). 

Itivrtaka(skt): Y đế mục đa già—Bổn Sự Kinh, một trong mười hai bộ kinh lớn của Phật giáo—Stories of Past Occurences, one of the twelve divisions of the Buddhist teachings.
