yaḥ sarvathāsarvahatāndhakāraḥ
saṃsārapaṅkaj jagad ujjahāra/
tasmai namaskṛtya yathārthaśāstre
śāstraṃ pravakṣyāmy abhidharmakośam //1/
prajñāmalā sānucarābhidharmaḥ
tatprāptyāptaye yāpi ca yacca śāstram/
tasyārthato’smin samanupraceśāt
sa cāśrayo’ syety abhidharmakośaḥ//2/
dharmāñāṃ pravicayam antareṇa nāsti
kleśānāṃ yata upaśāntaye’ bhyupāyaḥ/
kleśaiś ca bhramati bhavārṇave’ tra lokas
tad dhetor ata udita kilaiṣa śāstram//3/
sāsravānāsravā dharmāḥ saṃskṛtā mārgavarjitāḥ/
sāsravā āsravās teṣu yasmāt samanuśerate//4/
anāsravā mārgasatyaṃ trividhaṃ cāpy asaṃskṛtam/
ākāśaṃ dvau nirodhau ca tatrākāśam anāvṛtiḥ//5/
pratisaṁkhyānirodho yo visaṃyogaḥ pṛthak pṛthak/
utpādātyantavighno’nyo nirodho’pratisaṃkhyayā//6/
te punaḥ saṃskṛtā dharmā rūpādiskandhapañcakam/
ta evādhvā kathāvastu saniḥsārāḥ savastukāḥ//7/
ye sāsravā upādānaskandhās te saraṇā api
duḥkhaṃ samudayo loko dṛṣṭasthānaṃ bhavaś ca te //8/
rūpaṃ pañcendriyāṇy arthāḥ pañcāvijñptỉr eva ca/
tadvijñānāśrayā rūpaprasādāś cakṣurādayaḥ//9/
rūpaṃ dvdhā viṃśatidhā śabdas tv aṣṭavidho rasaḥ/
ṣoḍhā caturvidho gandhaś spṛśyam ekādaśātmikam//10/
vikṣiptācittakasyāpi yo’nubandhaḥ śubhāśubhaḥ/
mahābhūtāny upādāya sa hy avijñaptỉ ucyate//11/
bhūtāni pṛthivīdhāuur aptejovāyudhātavaḥ/
dhṛtyādikarmasaṃsiddhāḥ kharasnehoṣṇateraṇāḥ//12/
pṛthivī varṇasaṃsthānam ucyate lokasaṃjñayā/
āpas tejaś ca vāyus tu dhātur eva tathāpi ca//13/
indriyārthās ta eveṣṭā daśāyatanadhātavaḥ/
vedanānubhavaḥ saṃjñā nimittodgrahaṇātmakā//14/
caturbhyo’ nye tu saṃskāraskandhaḥ ete punas trayaḥ/
dharmāyatanadhātvākhyāḥ sahāvijñaptyasaṃskṛtaiḥ//15/
vijñānaṃ prativijñaptir manaāyatanaṃ ca tat/
dhātavaḥ sapta ca matāḥ ṣaḍ vijñānāny atho manaḥ//16/
ṣaṇṇām anantarātītaṃ vijñānaṃ yad dhi tan manaḥ/
śaśṭāśrayaprasiddhyarthaṃ dhātavo’ ṣṭādaśa smṛtāḥ//17/
sarvasaṃgraha ekena skandhenāyatanena ca/
dhātunā ca svabhāvena parabhāvaviyogataḥ//18/
jātigocaravijñānasāmānyād ekadhātutā/
dvitve’ pi cakṣurādīnām śobhārthaṃ tu dvayobhavaḥ//19/
rāśyāyadvāragotrārthāḥ skandhāyatanadhātavaḥ/
mohendriyarucitraidhāt tisraḥ skandhāđieśanāḥ//20/
vivādamūlasaṃsārahetutvāt kramakāraṇāt
caittebhyo vedanāsaṃjñe pṛthak skandhau niveśitau//21/
skandheṣv asaṃskṛtaṃ noktam arthāyogāt kramaḥ punaḥ/
yathaudārikasaṃkleśabhājanādyarthadhātutaḥ//22/
prāk pañca vartamānārthyād bhautikārthyāc catuṣṭayaṃ/
dūrāśutaravṛttyānyad yathāsthānaṃ kramo’ tha vā //23/
viśeṣaṇārthaṃ prādhānyād bahudharmāgrasaṃgrahāt/
ekam āyatanaṃ rūpam ekam dharmākhyam ucyate// 24/
dharmaskandhasahasrāni yāny aśītiṃ jagau muniḥ/
tāni vāṅ nāma vety eṣaṃ rūpasaṃskārasaṃgrahaḥ//25/
śāstrapramāṇa ity eke skandhādīnāṃ kathaikaśaḥ/
caritapratipakṣas tu dharnasskandho’ nuvarṇitaḥ//26/
tathānye’ pi yathāyogaṃ skandhyatanadhātavaḥ/
pratipādyā yathokeṣu saṃpradhārya svalakśaṇaṃ//27/
chidram ākāśadhātvākhyam ālokatamasī kila/
vijñānadhātur vijñānaṃ sāsravaṃ janmaniśrayaḥ//28/
sanidarśana eko’ tra rūpaṃ sapratighā daśa/
rūpiṇaḥ avyākṛtā aṣṭau ta evārūpaśabdakāḥ //29/
tridhā’nye kāmadhātv āptāḥ sarve rūpe caturdaśa
vinā gandharasaghrāṇajīhvāvijñānadhātubhiḥ //30/
ārūpyāptā manodharmamanovijñānadhātavaḥ/
sāsravānāsravā ete trayaḥ śeṣās tu sāsravāḥ //31/
savitarkavicārā hi pañca vijñānadhātavaḥ/
antyās trayas triprakārāḥ śeṣā ubhayavarjitāḥ //32/
nirūpaṇānusmaraṇavikalpenāvikalpakāḥ/
tau prajñāmānasī vyagrā smṛtaḥ sarvaiva mānasī //33/
sapta sālambanāś cittadhātavaḥ ardhaṃ ca dharmataḥ/
navānupāttāte cāṣṭau śabdaś ca anye nava dvidhā //34/
spraṣṭavyaṃ dvividhaṃ śeṣā rūpiṇo nava bhautikāḥ/
dharmadhātvekadaśaś ca saṃcitā daśa rūpiṇaḥ //35/
chinatti chidyate caiva bāhyaṃ dhātucatuṣṭayam/
dahyate tulayaty evaṃ vivādo dagdhṛtulyayoḥ//36/
vipākajaupacayikāḥ pañcādhyātmaṃ vipākajaḥ/
na śabdo’ pratighā aṣṭau naiḥṣyandika vipākajāḥ//37/
tridhānye dravyavān ekaḥ kṣaṇikāḥ paścimās trayaḥ/
cakṣuvijñānadhātvoḥ syāt pṛthak lābhaḥ sahāpi ca// 38/
dvādaśādhyātmikāḥ hitvā rūpādīn dharmasaṃjñakaḥ/
sabhāgaḥ tatsabhāgāś ca śeṣāḥ yo na svakarmakṛt//39/
daśa bhāvanayā heyāḥ pañca ca antyās trayas tridhā/
na dṛṣṭiheyam akliṣṭaṃ na rūpaṃ nāpy aṣaṣṭam //40
cakṣuś ca dharmadhātoś ca pradeśo dṛṣṭir aṣṭadhā/
pañcavijñānasahajā dhīr na dṛṣṭir atīraṇāt //41/
cakṣuḥ paśyati rūpāni sabhāgaṃ na tadāśritam/
vijñānaṃ dṛṣyate rūpaṃ na kilāntaritaṃ yataḥ //42/
ubhāyām api cakṣurbhyā paśyati vyaktadarśanāt/
cakṣuḥ śrotramano’ prāptaviṣayaṃ trayam anyathā //43/
tribhir ghrāṇādibhis tulyaviṣayagrahaṇaṃ matam/
caramasyāśrayo’ tītaḥ pañcānāṃ sahajaś ca taiḥ //44/
tadvikāravikāritvād āśrayāś ca cakṣurādayaḥ/
ato’ sādhāraṇatvāc ca vijñānaṃ tair nirucyate //45/
na kāyasyādharaṃ cakṣur ūrdhvaṃ rūpaṃ na cakṣuṣaḥ/
vijñānaṃ cāsya rūpaṃ tu kāyasyobhe ca sarvataḥ// 46/
tathā srotraṃ trayāṇāṃ tu sarvam eva svabhūmikam /
kāyavijñānam adharasvabhūmy aniyataṃ manaḥ // 47/
pañca bāhyā dvivijñeyāḥ nityā dharmā asaṃskṛtāḥ/
dharmārdham indriyaṃ ye ca dvādaśādhyātmikāḥ smṛtā// 48/
dhātunirdeśo nāma prathamakośasthānam samāptam iti.
