Lễ Kỉnh Chư Phật: Worshiping and respecting all Buddhas (prostrate and worship the Buddhas)—Đây là hạnh nguyện đầu tiên trong Phổ Hiền Thập Hạnh Nguyện. Lễ kỉnh chư Phật là luôn tín tâm tin và hiểu chư Phật in như các Ngài đang hiện diện trước mắt ta, là tam nghiệp thân, khẩu, ý hằng thanh tịnh. Hư không vô tận thì lễ kỉnh cũng vô cùng; chúng sanh vô lượng, phiền não vô tân thì lễ kỉnh cũng vô cùng vô tận không dứt—This is the first of the ten conducts and vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Universal Worthy Bodhisattva), means to have a mind of deep faith and understanding of all Buddhas as if they were before our eyes, and to keep our body, mouth and mind karma completely. The realm of space is inexhausted, our worshiping and respecting all Buddhas never end; the realm of living beings is inexhausted and the afflictions of living beings are inexhaustible, our worshiping and respecting all Buddhas never end—See Phổ Hiền Hạnh Nguyện, and Kinh Hoa Nghiêm Phẩm Phổ Hiền Hạnh Nguyện in Appendix A.

Lễ Rửa Tội: Ngoại đạo cho rằng dù họ có làm gì đi nữa, tội lỗi của họ sẽ được hoàn toàn rữa sạch bởi cái gọi là rữa tội—Externalists believe that no matter what they do, their sins will be completely washed by a so-called Baptism.

Lễ Sám: Lễ bái Tam Bảo và sám hối những tội lỗi mà mình đã gây tạo—Worship and repentance, penitential offering.
