su vien tichVào ngày 10, tháng 9, năm 2002 đã diễn ra việc khai quật cơ thể của vị trưởng giáo Lạt-ma Hambo Itigelov qua đời vào năm 1927 trước sự chứng kiến của người thân, quan chức chính quyền và các chuyên gia ở khu nghĩa trang gần thành phố Ulan Ude (Liên Bang Nga).

Thông tin này đã được truyền rộng trên truyền thông của Nga về vị Lạt-ma Buryat (sau này gọi là Hambo Itigelov ), người đã được khai quật từ một ngôi mộ vào đầu thế kỷ 21. Ngôi mộ này gồm một hộp gỗ và trong đó có đặt một vị sư Lạt-ma ngồi xếp bằng ở thế kiết già. Cơ thể của ông được bảo quản nguyên vẹn như thể nó đang được ướp xác. Cơ bắp và da của ông vẫn còn mềm mại, các nếp nhăn vẫn còn. Cơ thể ông được bao bọc bằng một bộ quần áo bằng vải lụa.

Trong kinh điển Phật giáo có miêu tả về hiện tượng này, tức là cơ thể của các vị sư có thể đạt được trạng thái “bất hoại” thông qua phương pháp tu luyện thiền định. Nhưng điều này chưa bao giờ được chứng thực. Và giờ đây điều này là một minh chứng rõ ràng.

During the First World War Itigelov created and inspired the organization called “Buryat brothers”. He was helping the army with money, meals, clothes, medicaments, he also built a set of hospitals with lama doctors helping wounded soldiers. For that he got St. Anna award and others.

In 1926 Itigelov advised the Buddhist monks to leave Russia, since ‘the red teaching was coming’ (Itigelov himself never left Russia). In 1927, being 75, he told lamas to begin meditation, since he said he was preparing to die. Lamas did not want to perform this meditation because Itigelov was still alive. Thus, Itigelov began to meditate by himself, lamas joined him and soon he died.

Ititgelov left a testament where he asked to bury him as he was, sitting in lotus pose in the cedar box on traditional cemetery. It was done. There was also a statement, where he asked other monks to exhume him after several years. (This is the exciting point – this means he knew that his body would be preserved). This was done in 1955 and in 1973 by Buddhist monks but they were scared to tell everybody about this, since communist regime did not leave any space for religion in society. Only in 2002 the body was finally exhumed and transferred to Ivolginsky Datsan (a residence of today’s Hambo Lama) where it was closely examined by monks and, which is now more important, by scientists and pathologists. The official statement was issued about the body – very well preserved, without any signs of decay, whole muscles and inner tissue, soft joints and skin. The interesting thing is that the body was never embalmed or mummified.

Two years passed. Itigelov’s body is now kept open air, in contact with other people, without any temperature or humidity regimes. How Itigelov keeps this condition, nobody knows.

This is the ONLY KNOWN AND CONFIRMED CASE OF IMPERISHABLE BODY throughout the whole world. Embalming and mummifying is well known among different nations and peoples – Chile (Chinchorro), Egypt mummies, Christian Saints, communist leaders and others. Some bodies were found in permafrost, however when they contacted with oxygen atmosphere they perished within several hours.

However, there are descriptions of such things in Buddhist texts, but there are no confirmed examples. Well, now there is.

For two years after the exhumation of Itigilov’s body it does not perish nor decay, no fungus, no negative things happen to it. Itigelov said before he died that he left a message to all peoples on Earth. This message contains no words. Now it is our turn to understand it.

Một kỹ sư người Nhật đang làm việc cho một công trình xây dựng cầu treo tại Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ đã tự tử vào hôm Chủ nhật ngày 22 tháng 3 sau khi một sợi dây cáp bị đứt. Mặc dù cầu không bị gẫy và không có người thiệt mạng, người kỹ sư 51 tuổi, Kishi Ryoichi, đã tự nhận trách nhiệm cho sự cố này trong bức thư mà ông để lại. Đã sanh ra đời thì ai chẳng có một lần chết, thế nhưng mấy ai chịu khó chuẩn bị tinh thần sẵn sàng cho mình hoặc cho thân nhân mình, hầu khi lâm sự có đủ bình tĩnh lo hậu sự viên mãn cho thân nhân hay có thể tự mình đón nhận cái chết nhẹ nhàng an lạc. Tác giả, thời trung niên tuy thường gia tâm học hỏi Phật Pháp, nhưng đối với vấn đề sống chết có phần lơ là, mãi đến khi tuổi đã gần bảy mươi mới tìm hiểu cẩn thận và khám phá những sơ sót thời trẻ, nên tạm ghi sơ lược vài nét chánh cho thân hữu bận rộn tạm có chút khái niệm để sẵn sàng ứng phó khi cần thiết.
