Fa-hoa-tsoung (C) Pháp Hoa tông Ban đầu người ta gọi là Pháp hoa Tông vì tông này lấy Kinh Pháp hoa làm kinh căn bản.Về sau, Thiên Thai Trí giả (531 - 579) có công lớn trong việc truyền kinh Pháp hoa nên các nhà tu học gọi là Thiên Thai Tông. Ở Nhật có hai truyền thống chính: Thiên Ðài tông (Tendai) do Tối Trừng sáng lập và Nhật Liên Tông (Tân Pháp Hoa tông) do Nhật Liên sáng lập. Sau này, Nhật Liên Tông lại chia thành nhiều tông, quan trọng nhất là Nhật Liên chánh tông và Sáng Giá học hội.

The last three thoughts are the most important in this discourse.
