Buddha once said "Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely" and that is exactly what thay has done.We should not feel sad, Thay has joined Phat in his practices. We have to let go, or he will not leave earth. I remember not long ago, Thay gave an important speech to chua and he called me to stand up, I was embarrassed and proud Thay is my Su Phu. He has dedicated his life to practicing ways of Buddha and we should let him follow his life long passion instead of holding him back. Yes,we will miss him terribly, but he has done so much for us, and letting him go up to Buddha is the best we can do to help him.We will always cherish the moments we've had with him, but no one lives forever. Saying goodbye to someone we loved and still love is hard. Saying hello is easy, but goodbye is something that we can never understand. He will always be in our minds and memories, but now he watches over us. Watching every decision we make, if we decide yes or no, he is watching. Maybe the fire didn't make him leave us, but now, the only thing we can do is pray for his safe arrival to the infinities of the universe with Buddha.There will never be a tomorrow, because tomorrow is today, so we cherish every moment we have with our loved ones, and hope for another day.

Thay was a very good man. He influenced a countless number lives. The funny thing is that we as Buddhists are taught not to steal from others. The reason Thay became who he is by stealing his brother's robes. If he chose not to do that I would not be a member of Chua Truc Lam because he helped build the foundation of Truc Lam. It was Thay who taught me how to live my life to the fullest. How not to waste my time on this earth. And I appreciate his teachings because I now live and love differently ever since I met him. I truly mourn Thay's death but I was taught to not feel too bad but to feel happy. Why? Because Thay will be going to a life without the suffering of this earth. He is going to a place of peace and happiness. I know Thay would rather be here with us but death is something we all cannot avoid. I will miss him and I'm sure you will too.
