Để tỏ lòng trân trọng đối với 
Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma thứ 14 
nhân kỷ niệm lễ Sinh Nhật lần thứ 80.

Hội nghị thượng đỉnh toàn cầu về Từ Bi nhằm tôn vinh Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma, người đã cống hiến suốt đời mình truyền bá thông điệp hòa bình, lòng nhân ái và từ bi phổ quát trên toàn thế giới.

Hòa thượng Lama Tenzin Dhonden, Sứ giả Hòa bình của Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma 14 và người sáng lập tổ chứcNhững Người bạn của Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma, phối hợp cùng với trường đại học Univeristy of California, Irvine vàTrung tâm Sống Hòa bình sẽ tổ chức Hội nghị Thượng đỉnh Toàn cầu về Từ bi và lễ kỷ niệm sinh nhật Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma 14 lần thứ 80.

Chương trình sẽ nhấn mạnh đến nhiều lãnh vực khác nhau, trong đó Ngài đã có những tác động rất lớn. Và nó sẽ làm nền tảng cho cuộc đối thoại trên sàn diễn giữa những người bạn, những người cùng đoạt giải Nobel, các chuyên gia mà Ngài đã cộng tác hoặc cùng chia sẻ giá trị chung đối với thành quả cho nền Hòa Bình Thế Giới.

Chúng tôi hoan nghênh sự tham dự và tham gia của bạn trong việc giúp đỡ (công tác chuẩn bị) để truyền cảm hứng cho các hành động trong cộng đồng toàn cầu của chúng ta.

To give the briefest conclusion that I can think of to the question- 'Do you think that sectarian diversity affects the stability of Buddhism as a whole?', I would have to say, 'Yes' and 'No'. My intention here is not to give a definitive answer, but to give readers 'food for thought', to enable each of us to be responsible and maintain pure intentions, to think for ourselves and develop genuine wisdom and compassion. In the spirit of the Dharma, rather than dwelling on any possible problems, we should mainly focus on solutions to any such problems. With the hope of maintaining the integrity and purity of Buddhism in this world.

Why is Buddhism so diverse ? Andrew Williams, I think we can all agree that the reason for the many diverse traditions and paths within Buddhism is that all sentient beings, in one way or another, are different, both mentally and physically, and therefore each individuals needs are also different. The Buddha explained that we sentient beings all have different and limited levels of understanding of this or that, and even if we focus on the very same thing, we will perceive it according to our own perspective. From our own limited viewpoint. We tend to perceive things and others based on our own preconceived ideas and past experiences. It's as if we judge the whole ocean based on the small part of the ocean that we may think we know. The whole sky based on a few clouds.

This sometimes leads me to feel overwhelmed, helpless and somewhat guiltyfor the relatively peaceful life I have. And the words we say when praying what do they mean? 3/ Have you ever been in love? 4/ In the future when treating patients how can I use Buddhism to help me? 5/ If good and bad are all relative to a person, let’s say, to a terrorist bomber, what they are doing is a good thing, but to others it is not. So that would mean right and wrong is relative too. So how do we know that something is an ‘absolute’ right thing who says that this is right and that is wrong. 6/ As a practising Buddhist lay person how can I reconcile my desire to be successful/ambitious/career-driven with the Buddhist concept of right livelihood. Sometimes it feels like the pursuit of being successful career-wise is very wordly, driven by materialism. Can I be a decent Buddhist AND a successful career person. Is this possible?
