When the birds stop singing When the butterflies and the bees disappear When the mountains and forests became barren When the lakes and ponds dry up When the dead fish float about When the air blackens the lungs you will see you are sitting in a hell despite you are sitting next to piles of dollars in a golden palace or a jewel castle Hence I ask you to give some dollars to help clean the earth When the birds stop singing When the husband and wife bicker at each other with abusive words, not sweet words. When the friends start seeing at one another through the political eyes, not with brotherly kindness and when the people gather and have to guard against other political views the world becomes a battleground. When you defend Trump you would lose your job and be called a racist. When you support Clinton and Obama You would be called a traitor or a leftist. Oh, the political division of people is so weird and terrible. When the birds stop singing people begin to compete to win the power that will give them happiness and lots and lots of money. When the birds stop singing then the kids hate to run after dragonflies and butterflies Instead, they will addict to play the games whose scenes are full of innocent killings where they could wear suicide-bomb vests. When the birds stop singing and the deer have no water to drink the small creek turns sad its life is going to end. When the birds stop singing the world still has only the Rock music, Football and Sex. With skimpy clothing and sexy bodies the girls are worshipped as the ancient “holy ladies.” Millions of people are hungry for their images. That is the religion in the electronic age, a kind of religion that makes lots of money. Becoming unneeded goods morality and spirituality will be exhibited only in museums. When the birds stop singing the software will be the smart brains and humans will be lifeless corpses - just like the machines that will move when the buttons are pressed. When the birds stop singing all weapons have to be invisible and the robots will replaces the pilots - thus, nobody would see the dropping bombs Then you and I will die just like dying in a dream, very abruptly. When the birds stop singing the roses will wither soon the sunflowers won’t bother to cry the trucks will become the killing machine. When the birds stop singing people live for themselves, care not for others and become the machines - the machines that fulfill their sexual fantasies and kill enemies. When the birds stop singing you will want to be silent Beware that you will be called a hypocrite if you say moral words. When the birds stop singing prayers are useless After the praying sessions, people get drunk and will be more aggressive for the next killing action. When the birds stop singing half of the Mekong River will disappear many cities will dip in the ocean water - Jakarta, New Delhi, parts of Florida, and many others. Moving to a safe place the billionaires will buy mansions in Mars The poor have to live here, waiting for death. When the birds stop singing despite billions of humans pray intensely and even if the Savior comes here the Earth will be just a hell.

Join Victoria’s faith and political leaders for a special multifaith gathering on the steps of Parliament House on Tuesday 4 February 2020.
Hosted by the Faith Communities Council of Victoria and the Multifaith Advisory Group (convened by the Victorian Multicultural Commission), the gathering will bring Victorians together to pray for those who have lost their lives and for the devastation of land, property and wildlife caused by the recent bushfires.
Together, we will show our appreciation and say thanks to the firefighters, emergency services and volunteers for their dedication, bravery and service.
We will also demonstrate our support for leaders on all sides of politics as they continue to lead our state through this unprecedented tragedy.
With the fire season not yet over and with relief and recovery efforts expected to take months, if not years, this event will demonstrate the stren
I consider myself to be one of the extremely lucky ones to study the Dharma at the Phap Bao temple every Sunday with awise, caring and compassionate teacher like Ven. Bhikkuni Giac Anh. The classes are like an endless supply of cool and pure water from a gentle stream that my Dharma friends and I can always drink from to quench our thirst and purify our body and mind.Over the years, I have seen incremental improvements in myselfsuch as being calmer, learning and practicing the Dharma better and applying the practical advice from my Teacher to better deal with everyday challenges.

WITHIN A ROCK, THERE IS A FLAME" BY SENIOR VENERABLE THICH NGUYEN TANG, QUANG DUC MONASTERY MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.
"...The gift of the Dhamma excels all gifts; the taste of the Dhamma excels all tastes, and delight in the Dhamma excels all delights. The eradication of craving (i.e., attainment of arahatship) overcomes all ills (samsara dukkha).
The gift of the Dhamma is the greatest giving among the all other givings. The one who is well trained in the Dhamma will share his understanding of the Dhamma either by writing a book, by preaching Dhamma, by discussing Dhamma, or by writing an article. Giving food or clothes or any other material items to a person makes them happy and they indeed will survive in the world, but they cannot get rid of this terrible circle of birth and death. It can be done only by understanding the noble Dhamma. Thus, the wr

The Buddha’s ethical teachings, these essential points of the eightfold path aim at promoting as well as perfecting the three heads of Buddhist training and discipline, namely (a) Ethical Conduct (b) Mental Discipline and (c) Wisdom. According to the capacity of each individual harmoniously cultivated, these points are all linked together and each helps the cultivation of the others.
Buddhism is not a religion for men just to follow but to learn, to understand, to practise, to gain experience. When men come to know the Buddha’s teaching and perhaps practise it to some extent, sometimes they wish to make the Dhamma their direction in life or their guide through life. At that time, their thoughts turn to become a Buddhist.
The Catering Unit of Minh Quang Retreat in Sydney, Australia has offered good services in a very solemn and deliciated manner and its very first meal reminded me of the nice smell of the Bowl of Rice of Fragrance in the old times.
