147- Douglas L. Berger 

Dr. Douglas L. Berger is currently the president of the international Society of Asian and Comparative Philosophy and the chief editor of the University of Hawai'i Press book series Dimensions of Asian Spirituality.  He is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where his primary areas of research and teaching are in classical Indian and Chinese traditions and cross-cultural hermeneutics.  He is teaching classes this year at Dalhousie University on Contemporary Chinese Culture and at University of King's College on Centuries of Dialogue: Asia and the West and Classical and Modern Asian Civilizations: India, China and Japan.

Ông viết rất nhiều khảo luận và đã xuất bản tác phẩm “The Veil of Maya:” Schopenhauer’s System and Early Indian Thought (“Bức Màng Ảo Mộng:” Hệ Thống Và Tư Tưởng Ấn Độ Cổ Thời Của Schopenhauer), được Nhà Xuấn Bản Học Thuật  Toàn Cầu Suny-Binghamton xuất bản tại New York năm 2004.
