Sonam Tsomo was born in exile in India. Her parents were forced to flee from Tibet by the Chinese invasion. She is a creative writing major at Miami University and hopes to bring awareness about the inhuman treatment going on in Tibet by the Chinese. She hopes that through her words she can convey this message. She misses all of her family back home, especially her grandmother.
Sonam Tsomo (Chashutsang) is a poet who writes in Tibetan, English, and Hindi. She has a degree in creative writing from Miami University and publishes in the Khabdha online journal, one of the most popular Tibetan literary sites, and her work has been published in Newtown Literary Magazine, New York.
Born and raised in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India, she attended Sarah College in Dharamshala before moving to the United States Student at LaGuardia Community College. under a scholarship at Miami University, Ohio. Tsomo holds a degree in creative writing and a minor in communications.
